Principal's Message
Lexington High School is a great place to learn, grow and be involved. We believe that a graduate of Lexington High School will exhibit qualities that include: capacity to be a life-long learner, responsible decision making, effective communication, being an informed citizen, being a skilled worker, and being a well-rounded individual. We believe that this is easily accomplished by being an active member of the LHS Eagle Community.
Much of the information that you need to support your child at LHS can be found on the website. New information regarding the campus and the district can be accessed here. As we strive to highlight the positive, look for our “Week in Review” videos. We offer links to the parent connection for grade and attendance monitoring, as well as calendar information. Contact information for your student’s teachers is readily available. We encourage you to be involved, and we welcome the opportunity to work with you. Parent involvement matters.
We also encourage your child to make a quality connection to their school, by being involved in extracurricular clubs and organizations. Lexington High School has quite a few opportunities for students to grow as an individual in areas of personal interest. Please explore these and be a part of the greater school community through: Athletics, Band & Jazz Band, Business Professionals of America (BPA), Cheerleading, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE), Interact, Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), Academic UIL, Theatre Arts, Debate, Student Council, PALS, Yearbook, and National Honor Society (NHS). Student involvement matters.
Together (students, parents, community and school) we make a great team, working to offer the best experiences possible at LHS. Please contact the school or watch the website for more information on ways that you can help support various programs: Athletic Boosters, Band Boosters, FFA Advisory Committee, Blood Drives, GradBash activities, supporting Red Ribbon week in October, Breast Cancer Awareness in October, Tutoring, Veteran’s Day Program, Academic UIL, College Fairs/Days, Open House, and Pep Rallies. Foster Eagle Pride by being here and being involved.
